Course Tour
Hole #1
The front 9 here at Legends CC wanders through a residential area marked with out of bounds stakes, water hazards, and several elevation changes. Keeping the ball in the fairway on tee shots and keeping approach shots out of hazards are the keys to scoring well on the front 9.
The starting hole at Legends Country Club is a short, dogleg right, par 4. Out of bounds does protect the entire left side, so you have to give your tee shot some attention. If you can catch the wind blowing in your favor, a putt for an eagle 2 is possible.
Hole Handicap – 15
Blue 346 yds – White 336 yds – Gold 326 yds – Red 246 yds
Hole #2
The second hole at Legends Country Club is a short, straight, par 4 guarded by a group of trees just off the tee box and a pond short of the green. This is the only hole on the front 9 where out of bounds doesn’t hinder your tee shot. You can go for this green in one, but the slope of the fairway often takes balls towards the pond just short of the green. Rated as one of the easiest holes on the golf course, an eagle here is not uncommon.
Hole Handicap – 17
Blue 357 yds – White 337 yds – Gold 320 yds – Red 200 yds
Hole #3
The third hole at Legends Country Club is a dogleg left, reachable par 5, guarded by out of bounds left and right of the fairway and very close to the left side of the green. The tee shot is downhill so you must decide whether or not to try and carry the two trees guarding the middle of the fairway. A solid tee shot will leave you a second shot in the 125yd – 175yd range. If you decide to lay up, you must be sure to hit the middle of the chute of trees guarding the green or you will not have a clear view for your 3rd shot.
Like most of the front 9, hole #3 wanders through a residential area marked with out of bounds stakes.
Hole Handicap – 13
Blue 450 yds – White 435 yds – Gold 330 yds – Red 326 yds
Hole #4
The fourth hole at Legends Country Club is a short par 3 guarded by out of bounds left, right, and long of the green. What makes this hole difficult is not being able to feel the wind on the tee box, as you are surround by the same group of trees that guard #1 green.
Hole Handicap – 11
Blue 170 yds – White 165 yds – Gold 130 yds – Red 124 yds
Hole #5
The fifth hole at Legends Country Club is a short, dogleg left, par 4. The fairway is guarded by out of bounds to the left and right. The approach shot is guarded by out of bounds on the left and a stream to the right. Going long of the green could also land you in the hazard.
Hole Handicap – 9
Blue 385 yds – White 377 yds – Gold 360 yds – Red 227 yds
Hole #6
The sixth hole at Legends Country Club is a short, but difficult par 4. You can drive the green with a good tee shot but must carry it all of 275 yds to clear the out of bounds that protects the left side of the fairway, the tree that guards the short right area of the green, and the pond that protects the area just short of the green. If you decide not to go for the green and just play it safe, there is out of bounds protecting the whole right side of the fairway. If you aren’t careful, you can hit it through the fairway, into the street, which is also out of bounds.
Hole Handicap – 5
Blue 297 yds – White 281 yds – Gold 270 yds – Red 260 yds
Hole #7
The seventh hole at Legends Country Club is the signature hole of the golf course. It is a par 3 that that requires you to carry the pond protecting the front portion of the green. There is also out of bounds to the left and hazard to the right. Going long of the green leads to bogey most of the time, as this green also slopes severely from back to front.
Hole Handicap – 3
Blue 181 yds – White 158 yds – Gold 110 yds – Red 100 yds
Hole #8
The eighth hole at Legends Country Club is a short, but difficult par 4.
Hole #9
The ninth hole at Legends Country Club is the longest hole on the front 9. It is a dogleg left, par 5, that plays 485 yards from the back tees. Most of the hole is downhill. If you can hit a high draw, your tee shot should provide you a 150yd – 200yd approach shot setting you up for an easy birdie. Out of bounds does protect the right side of the fairway on the tee shot and the entire left side of the fairway. Watch out for the two clumps of trees at the end of the fairway that protect the dog leg on your tee shot.
If you had trouble on the previous 3 holes, then #7, #8, and #9 provide a little relief and 3 good opportunities to get back strokes that may have been lost.
Hole Handicap – 7
Blue 485 yds – White 475 yds – Gold 400 yds – Red 388 yds
Hole #10
The back 9 doens’t have quite the eleveation changes as the front and is a little more wide open, but the greens are much more difficult. Having a dialed in short game is the key to scoring well on the back 9.
The tenth hole at Legends Country Club is a straight, par 4, with out of bounds protecting both the left and right sides of the fairway. There is also a pond protecting the front side of the green. The green is two-tiered, so hitting the correct level with your approach shot will determine how you score on this hole.
Hole Handicap – 8
Blue 400 yds – White 360 yds – Gold 350 yds – Red 326 yds
Hole #11
The eleventh hole at Legends Country Club is the longest par 3 on the golf course. It also houses one of the largest greens. Depending on the wind, players could hit 8 iron all the way up to 3 wood from the back tees. Out of bounds protects the entire left side of this hole.
Hole Handicap – 6
Blue 190 yds – White 180 yds – Gold 140 yds – Red 130 yds
Hole #12
The twelfth hole at Legends Country Club is another short, dogleg left, par 4. A creek guards the left side of the fairway and green. This green slopes severely from back to front and going long is almost a guaranteed bogey, or worse. It plays much more difficult than its 18 handicap ranking.
Hole Handicap – 18
Blue 385 yds – White 345 yds – Gold 335 yds – Red 240 yds
Hole #13
The thirteenth hole at Legends Country Club is a reachable, dogleg left, par 5. At 480 yards from the back tee, you must position your tee shot between the two trees that guard the middle of the fairway. A creek guards the entire left side of this hole. A solid tee shot will give you a 150yd – 200yd second shot, but beware, going long of the green on your second shot, often times, takes birdie out of the equation. Also, beware of the false front that protects the front quarter of the green.
Hole Handicap – 14
Blue 480 yds – White 460 yds – Gold 370 yds – Red 360 yds
Hole #14
The fourteenth hole at Legends Country Club is the longest par 5 on the golf course. It also houses one of the largest greens. There is a pond protecting the right side of the fairway and a pond protecting the left side of this large, undulating green. A solid tee shot should give you a 200yd – 250yd second shot. Hitting the correct level of the green with your approach shot is key if you are trying to make a birdie.
Hole Handicap – 2
Blue 535 yds – White 475 yds – Gold 370 yds – Red 360 yds
Hole #15
The fifteenth hole at Legends Country Club is a short par 3 with out of bounds guarding the right side and a pond, and large tree, protecting the left side. This green slopes severely from left to right, so being below the hole makes your birdie putt much easier.
Hole Handicap – 10
Blue 175 yds – White 155 yds – Gold 120 yds – Red 110 yds
Hole #16
The sixteenth hole at Legends Country Club is a long, dogleft left, par 4. It is the longest par 4 on the back 9 and will play the most difficult. Your tee shot must clear the trees guarding the middle of the fairway in order to have a clear shot at this severely sloped green. Going long of this green will make it very difficult to make a par.
Hole Handicap – 4
Blue 410 yds – White 380 yds – Gold 370 yds – Red 275 yds
Hole #17
The seventeenth hole at Legends Country Club is a straight, par 4, with out of bounds protecting the left side of the hole and a pond protecting the right side of the fairway. Hitting the fairway is key to having a clear view of the green. If you decide to bail out from the out of bounds, then the driving range is in bounds, if you can find your ball.
Hole Handicap – 12
Blue 355 yds – White 345 yds – Gold 300 yds – Red 260 yds
Hole #18
The eighteenth hole at Legends Country Club is a straight and narrow par 4. With the houses to the left being out of bounds and the driving range to the right, recently being made out of bounds, this hole plays much more difficult than its current 16 handicap ranking. Hitting the fairway here is critical if you wish to have a clear shot to this large, undulating green.
Hole Handicap – 18
Blue 365 yds – White 330 yds – Gold 320 yds – Red 235 yds
